He had a stroke a few years back that slowed him down a little, but he is still running his boys home here in the West Monroe area. He and some of the guys from the home came by my house in July to pick up a piece of furniture that was being donated to the home. We had a good 10 minute visit and he was fine. IF anything has happened to him since July, I don't know about it.
I had never met Mr. Johnny before, but he is an extremely humble Christian man who has dedicated the last 30 years of his life to helping shape the lives of young men who have gotten into some trouble. I hope that I can have half the positive influence that he has had.

I hated the Kansas CIty Chiefs growing up as an Oakland Raider fanaand season ticket holder. But I always had respect for #42.

One of LSU's all-time greats. I believe he was the first Tiger to win both a national championship and a Super Bowl.

How he is not in the NFL HOF is ridiculous.

+1. And a finer person you'll never meet.

I agree. There are players in the Hall with far less credentials than Johnny Robinson.

Appreciate the response. A friend was looking to find out how he is....

Doc has gvien me a very hard job, and that is to try to get Johnny in the Pro HOF.
It is a crime he isn't in it yet, Hank Stram tried very hard to get him into the pro hof.
Fred Miller should also be in the hall.
Johnny is doing well the last time I saw a few months ago.
