So if CLM bails, who do WE lose in this class?

A little melodramatic. These players aren't coming for Miles, they are coming for LSU. Ask USC how many players they lost when they switched from Carroll to Kiffin. It definitely was not the whole class.

It depends on what happens to the rest of the staff and which recruits were on the fence to begin with. USC's competitors don't sell their brand as well as USC. LSU has Texas, Bama, and Auburn to worry about. Miss State, Tennessee, and Arky are starting to look more enticing than before.

My thread was valid and was looking to get discussion going about how when these coaches names come up strong like this it tends to cause a few recruits to back off until there is some stability/definitive decision made about the future of the staff. There were a million topic going on about CLM leaving - ALL RUMORS so why not explore the very real scenario with the recruits.
Anyways - I was not trying to cause trouble. I was not trying to post random dumb sh^t. Actually thought it would have been a good topic to get into with a group that tends to have a ton of inside info/close contacts.

Will definitely hurt the out of state commits.
Assuming we move quickly in hiring a good coach and hold together most of the existing staff we could probably weather the storm with most recruits.

If you haven't noticed, most of the big time schools' classes are filling up. Not everyone in this class would have better options out there for them anyway. Some of the schools would make room for the big name players, but I think most of them in this class would go to LSU if I were the coach.
I don't think it will be that bad, unless the hire is dreadful!
