If Hoke got the Stanford job and had a good year, which he likely would with Luck returning, his stock whould be sky high at the end of next year.

I would bet money that Stanford promotes the OC, which is why Luck decided to stay...

He's a smart guy who enjoys college and wants his degree. His parents already have a lot of money, and if the NFL thing doesn't work out, he won't be hurting for money (especially with that Stanford degree). He can afford to enjoy another year in school.

meet David Shaw. Stanford alum, son of a former NFL player and coach. young guy, has NFL coaching exp. (including QB coaching). he'll be a hot commodity in coming yrs. he was up for the Vandy job, I think they shoulda hired him.
wouldn't have minded getting him for our OC.
