I've been on a bit of an offshore fishing hiatus in the past three months due to work.

Has anyone been out recently?

I know the blue water rip is right next to the mouth of the river out of Venice, it seems like a great time to hit it for some wahoo and then jump over to the lump.

Maybe hit some of the floaters, ripcharts says that there's patch only about 45 miles out...not too bad.

Any good reports?

Can't wait to get back out there

I fished about a month ago a didn't catch a thing. tried for wahoo at 7 mile rigs and headed west-lena, moxie, all the 93 rigs and had no bites. got a late start so we headed in through tiger without stopping at the lump. Trolled stretch 30's, illander, marauder, and a heavy wahoo bait. I may try to get out next week but its looking pretty cold.

We tried the small lump out by 20s 2 weeks ago, the water was too green. Went 25 more with some mediums and our speed was off, had to make some adjustments.. Didn't help, good day on the water though. Gonna try out by the C line next trip if it ain't too high.

Went to the 93 area on the 28th and went 7 for 8 on wahoo and 4 aj's by 9:30 and headed north. Had a 500+ mako jump 100 yards in front of the boat. Chummed for a little while, but he would'nt eat.
