Miles stayed in 2007 because a national title on the line, that was probably the only reason he stayed.

He wasn't offered the job in 2007.

And he won't be offered now.

Miles is a borderline idiot when it comes to game day coaching, but he's got a good thing going when recruiting is factored in. Not only are you now hoping for a magical homerun hire late as shite, but now you're counting on homerun coordinators. I'm done w/ this discussion though bc it's all for nothing. Miles ain't leaving until I see it. He's got too good a thing going right now.

You are disturbingly naive.

and after he couldn't get into contact with Michigan despite repeated attempts
looks like they're regretting not picking up the phone now.

either way a 'national title on the line' had little to do w/ miles staying in 07.

If anything I think the players will want to send him out with a win.

who cares what the players "think"

it has no berring on anything. this post should be whacked IMO.

Someone with decent "sources" is now saying he has sources on the players thoughts, even though the players have nothing to do with the situation at all.

I believe if Miles is ever going to go to Michigan and they offer then now is the time to go. Given his age etc he will probably never the opportunity ever again. If he doesn't go this time then he will never go to UM. I can see this either way but wish him the best if he goes back home. He has represented LSU well and the players love him.

Michigan barely gets to 6 wins next year with Miles IMO.

Honestly, I value the post. I love the insight of any player in this situation.

But, bottom-line these kids are 18-21yr old. They have no clue how these things go down and really they shouldn't.

But according to Belowpar he is interviewing OC candidates.

Why would he care who LSU's OC was if he was planning on accepting the Michigan job on Saturday?

I'm not saying you are wrong. I am just saying this info doesn't jibe with what belowpar said.

I think because things change .."fluid" as they say.

My guess is, once UM decides to go after Miles, it's all but done except the ink.

Miles is a guy that will never let this stuff out before a bowl game
