I havent done the math on contracts, but i think if the Hornets could go after Jevale Mcgee or Tyrus Thomas they could get some big production out of them. Okafer, and whomeever else for one or the other... to me it looks like CP3 is consistent and not playing like a superstar as in previous years. Maybe thats what he needs is an athletic big man like what he had in Tyson Chandler to revive him and the team..... What say you??

We need two players. A consistent perimeter scorer and an athletic big that'll go after shots and rebounds for our 2nd unit and let Jason Smith play his true position of PF.

That's exactly what we need. nothing else, it'll be a waste other wise

That is exactly what we need, but how and where to get it without killing future flexibility is an issue. Mbenga was on the inactive list last night, that means they plan to keep him around which means they don't plan to take back more than $4 million in salary in any potential deals, and unless they plan to use him as a trade chip, it also suggests they may have no plans to go after a backup big.

I don't want to get stuck in mediocrity by taking on bad contracts but I don't want to think this is the roster we'll be trying to "win now" with.
