When I glanced at the title of this thread, I thought it said "shot a big BEAR"
Speaking of, I shot a HUGE black pig the other day. A little while later, a bear cub came up and laid down next to it. Strange. I never did go check it out.

Nope. I was going to go this afternoon but with this ice storm going on, I'm staying by the fire and watching football instead of driving an hour to get rained on. I'll go tomorrow if the roads are clear.

Hahah sorry Red. I'm just hoping I don't have four gigs of pics of buzzards every minute.

Update for Red. I went out yesterday in the snow to pull the card. Nothing had touched the carcass. There were bobcat tracks that came up to the scrub tree the camera is hanging on, but no pic of anything but me leaving and me coming back five days later. The hog is frozen and covered in snow. Probably going to need to defrost and get ripe to pull something to it.

So far the only thing that's messed with this carcass is birds eating the eye. Other than that, nothing is jacking with it. I find it hard to believe that all the buzzards I've been seeing flying low haven't seen him yet. But since he froze last week, that might have delayed things. Either that or not even buzzards want to mess with a boar this big.

In the meantime, here's a pic of him laying there on the dinner table as I come in to check the camera.
