You probably can't park an Rv in a normal handicap spot if you have the blue tag hanging.

Yes and a non-handicap person can park there if he has a HC parking pass......

Just asking....had a friend get ticketed for an expired meter and it was a handicap spot.

I thought there was no time limit on handicap spots.

Why would a meter be there if there was no time limit? For the people without permits that park there illegally?

That's gold. Why would they put a meter there, then?

Come on now guys. That so they can get us normal folks for two tickets! One for parking in a handicapped spot and the other for having an expired meter.

I was always told there are no such thing as stupid questions, just stupid people. I kind of think this supports that statement...

My dad and my father-in-law did/does this all the time. I'll take your word for it if you say it's legal, but it ain't right.

I agree. I see way more folks (who appear to be just fine) using these placards than the true handicapped. Sickening is what it is.

So, a quadriplegic child says "Gimme a snow cone."
The vendor: "What flavor?"
Kid: "Doesn't matter. I'm just gonna drop it anyways."

Why would you think that?

Just because you have a handicapped placard does not mean you can park in a handicapped spot. If asked you must also be able to prove its yours which is why they distribute handicapped IDs.

Actually, it depends on the city. In New Orleans, people with handicap placards get two free hours of parking at any meter. My stepmother is disabled and has run across this rule. She got a ticket, went down to the parking office and when she showed them her placard (which she had hanging from her rear view mirror the entire time), they voided the ticket.

Now, don't you feel like a complete dumbass ... DUMBASS.

I can see the headlines now: "Parking Police Harass Handicapped. Driver forced to drop pants to prove knee disability"

j/k, of course. Too many friends/relatives of truly handicapped people take advantage of those handicap placards/plates, using parking spaces when the handicapped person isn't even in the car. I don't think they have much of a conscience. I felt guilty using those spaces when I took my sister Christmas shopping. She's handicapped, but I'm not.

re: Handicap Parking Question?

My mother suffered from an extreme case of vertigo. Often times, there were no handicap spots available for us to park, due to these pieces of garbage who abuse the tags.

I would deal with the frustration by keying the cars of those who parked in the H spots then walking to the store in a manner consistent with the person of no limitations.

Is this wrong? Probably.
Did I feel guilty? Nope
