Of course. You really don't see the difference?

The difference in ideology here is that you fail to see that the owner was the one who ultimately decided to throw away the dog's life. This holds true wether they decide to let the dog roam free on a state hwy or on my lease.

I suppose I could try, at considerable risk and hassle, to catch those two collared rots running my propety and bring them to a shelter where (since they are hog dogs not family dogs) they will likely be euthanized. Of course then I put myslef at risk fo being accused of theft. Much easier to put a 308 through them and let the predators dispose of the evidence.

No, not really. The difference is, the 18 wheeler driver had no intent to kill. You did. Reasonable people don't shoot pets no matter how irresponsible the owner may be. The owner did not kill his dog. You did.

Sorry, but when I put the time and money into my deer place only to have hunts ruined and deer run off by dogs; it's open season. Call me selfish or a murderer but that my opinion.

If it's a lab or something that's obviously a friendly dog that happened to get lose once then I'll do the right thing and try to help it home.

Would you allow your 13 yr old daughter to go hang out in the ghetto at 3 in the morning?

Glad I could spark a little debate on this slow afternoon. I guess you can call me wrong, but IMO, the only thing wrong with killing a dog, is if it's a dog that belongs to someone and it was an honest mistake that they let it roam free...once, maybe twice. These dogs are always on our land. I'm not some View-watching, tree hugging dog lover. So in my mind, a stray dog is no different than any other animal, albeit a racoon, armadillo or anything else. People shoot hogs for ruining something they invest money in; crops, hunting, etc. Why is it different just because it's a dog?

People are extremely sensitive towards dogs. You'll learn this from the OT.

Dogs are treated as humans; cats and others, frickem

I think you should be able to treat poachers as wild dogs

Yeah I know, I'm so tired of this dog craze. i work with a girl that said she would give her life for her dog. I said, what does your husband think of that, she said he agrees. I couldn't help but laugh.

I would not be surprised if my dad shot the assfricks that stole our cams, shoot woodies at dark going to roost, and no doubt spotlight deer in our yard. We call Lafourche parish sherrifs ( ) and WLF both will do nothing unless the catch them in the act.

Fwiw: I don't think he'd actually shoot them but it's extremely frustrating and I'm worried how they will react when we catch them and they're armed...

I can think of more people that have ruined hunts than dogs. Only difference is the police do not come to every dog killing.

How old are you?

So, you are tired of people who actually care for dogs?

haha, the old stand-by "How old are you."
If you honestly think that it's bad I laughed at someone that said they would give their life for their dog, when they are married and have a kid, then I really don't know what to say.
