Those mallards used to come down here and we'd slaughter them. I don't remember the last greenhead I shot

We had a place in Houma and back in the late 90s early 2000s we would kill 400-500 mallards a year.

Since then we may have killed 50. I really don't know what changed...

Maybe you and everyone else shooting more than they could eat decimated the numbers.

Really? you don't know?

Ducks fricking Unlimited short stopping them.

I use to have mallards by the thousands in the cypress swamp behind my house on the farm. I haven't duck hunted since they stopped coming.

This redneck is a surfer too.
Spent a couple years living in ft. Walton bch. Big swells in the winter and early spring. I've caught a couple of ground swells. Amazing sight.
