Fought my way through Sherburne this morning. Lots of duck in the air, but had a tough time getting them in our hole. Brought home 4.

Avoyelles parish. All mallards killed 7 mallards and 3 woodies should have killed our 8, but had to go help track a deer.

God damn advocate gave us too much false hope.

Heard shots all morning but our blind never fired one.

My crawfish pond in Madison parish is busting out the seams in mallards, gads, woodies, teal and widgeon.
Nobody has even spooked them. I drove the golf cart to the back corner and watched em pour in all last weekend.

Gonna be a fun Christmas.

I would if we didn't have a blind full of hungry duck hunters.
Next offseason we are installing some pits and the place sits behind a ranch house. We hope to be guiding about 6/8 hunts next season.

Man it sounded like a freakin war zone this morning in Grand Chenier. We only got six though, mostly greys and spoonies.

Killed 19 and a speck this a.m in NELA. Mallards, teal, and pintails. Expected to do a little better but could have been worse. Sat a couple big groups of mallards and everybody shot like shite.
