Mine consists of Old Rasputin and Jim Beam Black. After a couple of rounds, I decided you'll probably want to go with about 4 parts Old Rasputin and one part Beam.

Sounds like a coma waiting to happen...

Yeah, it's not for the weak. I was surprised though at how mixing the two made such a smooth drink. I love Old Rasputin, but a lot of people don't like it because it's a harsh beer. The Beam really smoothed it out.

I'm with ya there...
I'm not really a huge bourbon guy, but I might try this out. It'll give me a reason to go to Acquistapace's this weekend.

Wasn't this subject line an old Penthouse letter from the OT?

I tried NOLA's newest seasonal (Irish Channel Stout). It was really harsh as well, so I tried just coating the glass in bourbon then pouring in some stout. Amazing how different the beer tastes once you add just a little bourbon. The beer all of a sudden was really good.

Who's got it?
I really wish NOLA would get to bottling some stuff soon.

I got a growler of it when I went to the Avenue Pub down in New Orleans. I know that Chimes has it and I am pretty sure that the Bulldog has it. I think the only way to have it at home at the moment is to fill up a growler of it at one of the bars.
