Isaac had 27 points Tuesday night as Pickering blasted Class B power Rapides by 30 points. Pickering is 6-0 and has one of the better Class 2A teams in the state this season. Isaac would be scoring over 30 per game, but he is very unselfish and has been dishing the ball out to teammates quite a bit.

What type of player is he? Can he shot the 3, handle the ball, or is he playing inside since he is probably the biggext kid on a 2A team?

He is a great deal like Dotson was prior to his bad knee blowout two years ago. Explosive leaper, fluid movement, strong defensively when he sets his mind to it. Probably a little better outside shooter than Dotson was at that age. I view Isaac as a real sleeper in this class. O'Bryant is getting all the ink, and rightly so, but Isaac may wind up making just as big an impact at LSU IMO.

Well basketball recruiting has the largest swings in regards to ranking as any sport. So when the guy is so highly regarded, blows out his knee and can't play for his junior year, and basically has his ranking get completely dropped, I'm not shocked nor do I see it as an indictment against how good he can be. I remember when he first committed and most that followed basketball recruiting thought that he was just committing early and wouldn't stick because of the other offers he was going to get. Then he got hurt, and people started questioning the offer all of a sudden. I would rather have him hurt himself as a junior, come back 100%, and be at LSU full speed than have what happened to Dotson occur again.
