Doesn't he have a Super Bowl Ring already?

If so at this point its all about staying in the league and collecting dollar bills.

He was a great Tiger and had a great career with the Steelers. Amazing longevity.

Humble opinion? Probably the overstatement of the year. The guy is headed for Canton.

Let's see. All Star. Makes millions of $$$ per year and has done so for a very long time. Retires on a seven figure annual annuity before the age of 40. And, probably has a marketable post-football skill of some sort. I really feel sorry for Alan.

Only one time in the history of the Touchdown Club of Houston, an OL has made the Offensive POY. At age 15, he began having seizures, which were later diagnosed as epilepsy. He started on medication to control it and was able to continue playing football. Allowed only one sack in his last season and ended up with 210 pancake blocks in his collegiate career. He ended up as one of the better OL in LSU history. Has done very well in the NFL.

one of the premier offensive linemen I have ever seen, has represented himself and LSU in an exemplary manner..............has made a lot of money in professional football but has physically paid for it, unlike many of us......he earned it

You might even say a 'poor' choice of words, lol. First thing I thought when I read the thread's title actually. I think his current team sucks, but he's just collecting his $$$ now.

Faneca was drafted the 26 player in the first round of 1998.
A year later Kevin Faulk and Todd McClure were drafted. These three have lasted a long time in the NFL, congrats to these former LSU Tigers.....
