I'm tired of all the people's criticism about Crowton.

He calls the plays that he thinks will work the best. Yes, they are suspect at times. But they are bad to a certain extent, the players still have to perform. And the players haven't performed, so yes, he hasn't been that good. But yall are acting like it's literally all his fault when it's not. It's probably more or less 25% his fault and 75% the player's because every play is made to go all the way. Also, in the sense that he's a quarterback coach, he coaches at a big time college, one of the best programs of all time, why exactly should he have to teach quarterbacks how to throw a ball or where to put the ball when they throw it? Shouldn't they already know how to do it?

He sucks. He gets worse every season at every job he's ever had.

he's at LSU trying your best isn't good enough if you don't get results. These offensive rankings at LSU the past 2 years are unexcusable.

Yeah but people make it seem like it's literally all his fault and it's really not. The players have to perform too.

This is a joke, right? Show me a college QB who didn't need coaching to become the best player he could be.

It might not ALL be his fault, but probably 80-90% of it is.

At the end of the day, it's Crowton's job to get the players to perform. It might not be fair, hell, it might even by an impossible task, but it's one he gets paid to do.

If the plays are putting the players in a bad position to gain yards, it's his fault. If the QBs are botching plays that would have gained yards, it's still his fault.

Do I think we should get rid of him in this offseason? No. He has two returning senior QBs and a very talented JUCO prospect coming in during a year in which the losses on the rest of the SECW teams put us in position to win the division for the first time since 2007.

Long term, I think this could hurt us and for that reason, I don't recommend retaining him past his current contract, though he'll probably get an extension if Mett can bring us to the promised land. I just hope that Rivers is as good as his brother.

Exhibit A: Running Ridley 3 times to the exact same spot in the redzone and having to settle for a field goal.

I admit offensive players make mistakes. All players do at times. But running the same 5 or so plays an entire game and the occasional "trickery" doesn't cut it.

He needs to go.

Gary,
We don't hate you. We hate the fact that you're still the OC at LSU. It's time for you to move on. I hear there's an opening at ULL. Go CAJUNS!!!

My question is whether he has 100% freedom to run the offense as he sees fit. And if he doesn't, then replacing him might not do as much good as people think.

It's 3rd and 15? How about an option to the short side!

There's a 7% chance that it works....EVERY TIME

This is actually all Les. Miles said earlier this season that he doesn't mind playing the basics of football. Defense and getting 3 when you can get it. I'm serious.

My question is where the hell this rumor came from. We didn't see anything like this shite under Jimbo.

Since when did this become personal?

Also, in my defense, I think that he should go, too. His offense doesn't fit in the SEC which is why it doesn't work. I think it would work in the Pac-10 or Big 12 or one of those offensively powerhouse conferences.

Seriously? You're serious?

How many true freshman come in and start at elite programs? Maybe one or two a year?

Seriously....just stop.
