Anyone watch the game yesterday? Anyone see that incredible play from the 300# OT/DT #54 running down a safety on a potential pick-6?
If anyone has the ability to post the highlight, I'd appreciate it.
It's at the end of the first half for those looking for it.

Why is a d tackle running down a safety?

Sorry... he plays both ways. My mistake... fixed

On TV they said he benches 410 and squats something like 665. And with speed like that, this kid has to be a D1 prospect.

did you see the play? Did you think it was as incredible as the announcers and myself thought. I still can't believe it.
The announcer said it was the best play of the year. I don't watch much high school football but might watch more if they are as exciting as the Patterson game yesterday

My dad was at the game, and he said it was pretty damn impressive. The player's name is Joe Henry, but everyone calls him "Scuba." Scuba played his arse off last night

Ya he seemed kind of beast-like but the announcers never mentioned his college interests. shite, surely at least a New England college would offer a scholarship?

Yes his name is Scuba. He's the younger brother of Louisiana Tech safety and former Patterson standout Tarence Calais. Has Hilliard blood.
He ran down the safety about 70 yards and dove in front of the WF guys taking out about 4-6 of them and causing a fumble. Play came back on a penalty anyway, but still an incredible play and shows why you should never give up.
I've heard some small schools are recruiting him, but due to his short stature no big schools have taken a chance.

If coach Minton sends a copy of that play alone to some FBS schools, I bet he'd get a serious look regardless of height.
And I didn't think a short DT was that big a deal. Better leverage

If I was the coach at West Feleciana I would want to jump off the ferry they have over there. Why would you call a toss play in that situation. All they had to do was hold on to the ball and the game was over. Then the offsides on the extra point which gave Patterson the oppertunity to go for the win. That will haunt those players forever. Most were all seniors.

Ya even with no ties to WF I still felt bad for them. But with ties to Patterson, I can't complain. Go jacks! Sometimes its better to be lucky than good.
