Who was our offensive leader this year?

Defense had PP and Shep - who was the on-the-field leader for the offense this year? Does this have anything to do with our lack of production?

The one who brought it every week: SR

I don't mean leader in stats, I mean leader in a more intangible sense (ability to enable the team to maintain focus, get motivated, and execute when things aren't going well). Don't mean to slight SR here, he's quickly becoming one of my favorite all-time Tigers (should be wearing #18 IMO), but he's not the leader of the offense in the sense that I'm talking about...

He's the first Coach to have multiple 1,000 yard rushers, in a very long time.

Stevan Ridley

Yeah, I get that (and am among the people that think that firing Les would be the height of insanity). Again, I'm talking about the on-the-field leadership that's necessary to win; I don't think we had it this year....

I bet if you asked this question to Jordan Jefferson he would answer himself. IMO admitting he needs to play better would be a step in the right direction for him than simply living in denial (basing this from every quote I have ever read from him in the paper).

Closest thing to an offensive leader was Ridley.

No obvious answer. One of the biggest problems. Just wish Jefferson had IT in him to be That Guy!

Yeah, it's obviously better when the QB steps up, and I wish JJ was the guy, but I agree, he doesn't seem capable of even admitting that he's a significant part of the problem, much less contributing to the solution......

Ridley and even though he was quiet on the field, I'd go with Russell Shepard too.

Ridley. RS had very little impact as a receiver this year. Seemed out of place. Only way I see RS being real productive is as a wildcat/spread qb.

Ridley and its not even close

Ridley was. Not just because of his production but because he was an actual leader.
