why are they so expensive? I want to go but $52 each for nosebleeds seems excessive? Are there any promo codes i could use?

go to stubhub.com
you can get them for less than face value even after S&H and fees

Just go to the Hornets box office before the game, buy the $9 "nose bleed" seats, and move down to row 1 or 2 or the Upper Bowl.

I remember last season they had tickets for every game on stubhub ranging from $5-$10. Bought Lakers nosebleeds for $10 and walked down to a better seat. I guess b/c the team is much better this year is why the prices are so high

They got flex pricing this year most teams do that
