Extend. He brings in too much talent.

No.
he actually earned his pay this year. i don't see giving a "year bonus" of 4 million.

let it get down to 2 years before an extension.

show me some hardware of any sorts and yes. SECCG appearance or a BCS game.

F NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.

Did we learn our lesson about extending this guy and tying our hands when he craps the bed repeatedly.

How does LSU get away with not rolling his contract over with the 8-win clause in it? Isn't it grounds for a lawsuit if leaves?

The contract does not call for an automatic extension for an 8 win season.

It says an extension can be recommended by the chancellor. But, the chancellor still has to actually offer an extension and it still has to be approved by the BOS.

Are you kidding me? No way! This coach will continue to hold us hostage for several more years with his present contract which is already way too fat! Hopefully the people in charge of these decisions have learned that they are supposed to be looking out for LSU, not a coach.

Depending on who you ask, his contract is already rolled over to 2014. That means it's maxed out and either a new contract or extension would have to be worked out.

If LSU is stupid enough to extend him given his albatross of a contract, then the AD needs to be fired on the spot.

No. We aren't a 10-2 team, we just happen to have that record. We are never prepared. The staff gets outcoached the majority of SEC games. Our offense is absolutely terrible and underachieves given the talent like no other unit in college football.

The biggest reason he shouldn't get an extension is because he chose to retain Crowton after last season. He should have to pay for that.

Good points lady. Just goes to show that women know football. We can't have a coach that wins 10 games hanging around and making lots of money can we?

You hit all the basics didn't you?

So how do you explain his winning over the years?

Sheer talent + being lucky. It's what he's nationally notorious for.
