To me the biggest (and most pleasant) surprise of 2010 is how Ridley has been the backbone of the LSU offense and has shined. Many had questioned his ability to be a top back and perform game after game after game, and he has excelled. Also his performance has been hampered by some significant nicks (as Miles calls them) that have gone unnoticed. To me he is the MVP of the offense this year, (#7 the MVP of the team.)

I think he's one of the leaders of the offense in the locker room as well. His interview after the Ole Miss game was impressive; he was very well-spoken and the first thing he did was compliment the play of his o-line and fullback. Real humble guy.

I completely agree.. the most impressive quality about Ridley is the leadership he brings. Never would have seen that coming! the exceptional running is pretty outstanding too tho.

Showed some flashes last year and certainly delivered this year. I love his effort.

Ridley really really wants to be good. So he is and will continue to be. We are lucky to have him on the team.

especially when you consider that he came out of a small private school in Natchez and most people on the Rant wondered" WTF".....he is a tough arse runner and has shown durability (and I love his ability to cut back)I am a fan of Ridley

He's the MVP of the team IMO over pp.

Heck, I think sheppard has been the defensive MVP.

PP is the most overrated player on the team.

I agree with everything you posted except it isn't a surprise to me. I have been tooting the Ridley/Ford horn all year. So lets hear it for me!

I remember it well. I love his effort as others have mentioned, but it deserves to be repeated. Even his early fumble against NC was a result of his extra effort. He maned up about it and has continued to excel ever since. Looking forward to watching him next year with an improved and deeper line.

Not disagreeing with anyone about Ridley. He has been impressive and a very pleasant suprise. My personal opinion on MVP would be Jasper. We wouldn't have won a lot of games this year without his leg or legs if we consider the fake field goals and other trick plays.

Are you saying if he gets drafted by the 5th round he's gone or that you think he's going to get drafted by the 5th round? Because if you meant the former, then I would be inclined to ask you if you're confusing the nfl draft with the mlb draft

He's had a few nice plus but Ridley has been an absolute workhorse, not to mention he'll probably end up going over 1,000 yds, which not too many tiger RBs have done.

Ridley has definitely been fun to watch this year. MVP for sure on O. Sheppard on D.

What a season...
