how about this: if Auburn and LSU both win out, and Oregon, TCU, Boise all lose a game, would it be Auburn #1, LSU #2 causing a rematch in the BCSNC?

You have to win your conference to be in the national championship game.

It's in the rules, under the subheading "We Don't Want to Screw USC Again."

We would need Oklahoma State to lose, then beat Nebraska, or for Nebraska to lose, then beat Oklahoma State.

Voters would punish LSU and would handicap us, just to put the Big12 Champ ahead.

No, you didn't. Because if you did, you wouldn't of tried to correct him.

So, instead of just ignoring it, you responded to it as if you believed that I was serious. Congratulations.

LSU could get a chance at the title

Of all the BCS’s many rules and components, there’s absolutely nothing in the guidelines that require a team to win its conference — or in this case, its division — to qualify for the National Championship Game.

Dude, seriously?

LINK

I think I understand the rules. You need to look around your office/house and find your sarcasm detector and determine if it is working.

I hate to say it, but voters from other parts of the country, would not want two teams from the SEC in the game. If Auburn loses to Bama and wins the SEC Championship, I would not be surprised to see Oregon-TCU in the big game...with the SEC getting shut-out. But the SEC has 5 Nat'l Champs since the JAn '04 title game, right?
