Juans and Felipes > Izzos (as was Kokopeli's -- I miss that place)

I disagree w/ this statement.

Izzos >>>>>>>>>>> Felipes

Also, I love Juans but it is in a different category IMO. I cannot walk into Juans and walk out w/ a burrito in 2 minutes.

The stuff they serve is for "shain" elitist very, very good. The breads and stuff are just shy of the artisinal breads found at high end bakeries, and places like WF.

I said New Orleans! That's like me saying I wish there was a Tiger Attorney in NOLA and you telling me there is when we both know damn well he lives in Metairie.

^As someone who was born and raised in Metairie, it's not that bad! I promise Metry looks a lot better when compared to Kennahbrah.

And the Izzo's is next to a few decent places that I'd much rather eat at. Churro's has really good Cuban food and who could pass up yogurt at Tutti Frutti?

And yes I agree that Nola needs a Panera. But when I say "Nola" they would more than likely put it in Kennah or Metry rather than in the city. New Orleans is always the last to get places...I'm actually shocked Mandeville/Slidell/Covington/Madisonville don't have a Panera Bread yet.

TA lives like a mile from the parish line in Old Metairie.

I was told today that John Folse Manufacturing had been under contract and was producing the soups for Panera Bread. This shocked the hell out of me as some of them are actually good. Apparently the contact was not renewed recently.

So other than at your house, where do you get a good sandwich that is low cal and fat free.

Cmon. It's a sandwich.

I didn't say FAT FREE. I did look up their calories and fat per sandwich and they are lower than they were several years ago or eliminated the sandwiches that had 60+ fat grams.

My choices aren't like everyone else's.

I didn't mean it literally.

I'm just wondering where you are going to get a sandwich that is any different from anything they make.

You don't have to get it prepared with the fatty and high calorie stuff on it.

If a local place opens up a sandwich shop the calories and fat are going to be the same.
