Is this the movie that was filmed in the BR area? TIA
I think I remember seeing that it was.
and it looks pretty decent. I was just wondering a few days ago what happened to that bull-d%(e Michelle Rodriquez, looks like she resurfaced, playing a man again.

I bet she has a angry smirk on her face for 90% of the movie since she seems to think that is acting.

pretty much spot on. I was just thinking about her because they've been showing the original fast and the furious a lot lately and for some reason i like it more now than when it came out(I fricking hated it then, now it's watchable).....and after seeing her I just started LOLing and wondering what she's doing now, and then I said to myself "whatever it is, it's probably very masculine"
oh and fun fact while we're on the subject: Louisiana is number 3 in states where movies are filmed only edged out by NY and Cali.

Yeah I watched them film some of this at the studio in BR. Pretty cool trailer. The movie will probably be shitty though.

Thats how you make a good trailer.

You can see the State Capital at 1:26.

A buddy of mine is an extra in this movie, and the filming he did was up in Shreveport. He met Michelle Rodriguez, Aaron Eckhart (Harvey Dent from the Dark Knight), and the the who plays Hoyt in True Blood. (all 3 are in this movie)

I was working out at the BR airport one day when explosions started going off and helicopters were flying overhead. Scared the shite out of me until an airport staff informed me they were filming Battle Los Angeles.

isn't it a bit funny and ironic when the name of a movie specifies a specific city and they film it 3000 miles away in a place that has very little if any similarities to said place? I mean it's like Battle: New York City filmed in Odessa Texas.

I was living in Spanish Town when they were filming this movie. Lots of explosions and it was a very elaborate production. There's a shot of the state capitol in the trailer.
One scene shows the Mississippi River Bridge, a downtown garage, and also some spots in North BTR. They did a surprising amount of scenes under the interstate by downtown, which can be seen in this clip as well.

It's a little crazy, but I can understand it. The architectural style of L.A. and Baton Rouge are surprisingly similar. Even from a design point of view when looking at the plant palette they share a lot in common.
My girlffriend's stepdad own some land down on the river by the old leper colony in Carville. They will be shooting a part of Battleship there here soon. They're doing a beach invasion scene along the river. Should be interesting to see how they pull it off. I'll be down there snapping pictures, so I'll keep yall posted.
That day out at the airport I really thought shite was going down. Foreign attack. Aliens. It all went through my head.
I don't expect the Battle LA to be the best, but I will probably be entertained by the explosions. That's all I hope for.

Yeah, looks like this movie is going to be nothing but shite blowing up. I'll pass.

They filmed a couple night scenes at City Park golf course in BR cause we're one of the few places in town with hills.

B-Roll and 2nd Unit.
That's all that matters to establish the location of a film.
