If Auburn wins out, Oregon wins out, and LSU wins out which bowl game and which team would you like to see LSU play the most?

I would like LSU play Boise State in the Sugar Bowl and beat them by 40 points. LSU has had enough close games against enough good teams this year. I want them to embarrass Boise State and Kellen Moore and shut that damn team up

i imagine it would be LSU and TCU in the sugar bowl just because TCU is much closer to nola than boise. therefore it would draw a much larger fan base from TCU

Don't want BSU. Not in a bowl. LSU has nothing to win by beating Boise, and they may surprise some people having a month to rest up and prepare.

Is there any chance we can go to the Orange Bowl? I would be all over that trip.

LSU has not beaten anyone by 40 for quite some time and BSU is a lot better than McNeese.

If Auburn wins out and wins the SEC:

Sugar Bowl vs. Bosie St

If Auburn wins out and loses the SECCG:

Capital One Bowl vs Michigan

IMO

No LSU hasn't scoredd 35 nor have they beat anybody by 40. I'm not saying it would happen, but I would love to see it happen. I would take TCU as well

In that scenario, LSU would play a Big 10 team in the Sugar Bowl

Sugar Bowl vs. Ohio St

i dont think the Sugar will pick Boise St or TCU bc they have put the SEC against a non automatic qualifier the last 3 years.

this was in the advocate yesterday

quote:

Edwards said he thinks this time the Sugar will go for a team from a power conference, like say a one-loss Big Ten team that may be left out of the Rose Bowl.

“I know a team like Boise is highly ranked and regarded, but because of their relationship with the SEC I don’t think the Sugar likes to keep sticking SEC teams in no-win situations,” Edwards said.

“We feel we’ve done our share of being ecumenical, if you will,” Sugar Bowl CEO Paul Hoolahan said. “We’ve always had good games generally speaking ... but they haven’t always been as exciting and dramatic as Utah-Alabama. I think we do try to get a good, close competitive game this year. I certainly hope that will happen.”

If we win out we will finish in the top 5 of the BCS Standings, which means an automatic BCS bid if Im not mistaken.

People should get TCU out of their minds. Boise is not passing up TCU in the BCS for one. That means only TCU will be guaranteed a BCS bowl game. Also, the Rose Bowl has already committed to taking the highest NON AQ if they lose a team, so I am almost certain the Sugar Bowl will pass on TCU knowing someone else will take them. The bowls are about money, so I firmly believe the Sugar passes on Boise too and takes Ohio State or maybe Nebraska if they lose the Big We championship. The bowls can honestly careless about a good matchup, hence TCU v Boise in the same game last year. They want travel revenue in those cities.

It used to be top 4. I don't think that applies anymore, but if LSU and Auburn win out, we are a virtual lock for the Sugar.

If Bama beats AU, then AU goes to the Sugar and the Orange or Fiesta could take Bama over LSU. I have no idea if they would.

Top 4 = auto (which we may still get)

Since you asked which one we would like to see LSU play in, not which one do we think LSU will or would play in, I would say the Orange. LSU hasn't played there since the early 80's if my memory is correct. The only down side would be that the opponent would be a mediocre ACC champ. The Rose Bowl would be great, but is probably unrealistic

Besides the extra practice time and some revenue, the bowls just seem lame.

The options listed in this thread highlight the need for a limited playoff (like 4, maybe 6(w/ byes), teams) - I would much prefer that the Tigers play any of these teams with something more than pride on the line.

or maybe Nebraska

LSU vs Nebraska in the Sugar Bowl would be my third time to see these two teams play each other in that bowl and fourth time ever. Saw Nebraska play in TS once. We are 0-5-1 against the original corn dogs.

I propose a loop-hole to this thought. Suppose Auburn goes into Atlanta undefeated to play Florida, who doesn't lose between now and then. We win out finishing second in the West. BCS would have UF in the top 20, us and AU in top 5, with AU being at least 2, and us at least at 5, possibly at 4 jumping Boise. What happens if UF upsets AU by say a last second fg? Would auburn fall out of the top 4? I would see us going to 3, Oregon 1, TCU 2, but could a 1 loss AU stay above an undefeated Boise, especially if we have already jumped them?
