Where you heading?

Leaving for Grand Chenier this evening. Brushing blinds and fishing tomorrow. Then bringing the pain to some ducks on Saturday morning.

Radar is ready and headed to Venice tomorrow to scout and then go from there. I see breezy is predicted for Saturday and I am hoping it's early to help some with the fog. Seems like 3 out of 4 years there is fog for the opener in Venice.

We have a camp across the river from Venice, guy there now says the water is as low as it gets, not typical for this early..

I just hope people with mudboats stay out the ponds as much as possible. Hate to see them run the ducks out of what little water we have.

Staug..

First off you can be assured mudboats will run through every pond in Venice that's allowed and some not allowed tomorrow by the end of the day. Low water isn't that big of a deal, it's a common issue especially with the river at 3'.

Whatever, I'm just telling whoever plans on going, its uncommonly low for November regardless. Low river plus strong North winds has got it January low. My buddy had to unload everything out of his boat and push it across the sandbar to get it in the canal our camp is in.

Staug, I wasn't trying to come across bad, just saying everyone will likely be scouting tomorrow and probably run through everytyhing. Thats normally the way it works every year. We scouted last weekend during youth hunt and yesterday for that reason. Water is low but IMO not way low, it's still dooable.

I think I know where your camp is from what you described.
