Hornets Play by Play

I dont get CST and have been watching most games online through other teams tv crew. I know Gil's been with the hornets for a while now, but really how is this guy on tv? Monte Gras?
He may easily be one of the worst play by play men I have ever heard in ANY sport. Is he on the CST payroll or the hornets? If CST, do the hornets have input on who calls the games?

I thought Monte Gras was pretty clever. It's like Lombardi Gras, except for the Hornets.

I don't think a game goes by that Gil doesn't mention and they show his son working as a ball boy for the team.
