This is sad but expected to start the year after a losing season I suppose. Hope the fans come in droves Friday, but it looks like there are still quite a few tickets left. Geaux Hornets

I am afraid for the long term viability of this franchise.

It'll come around as the Saints wind down and if the team keeps playing well. Usually how it works. No surprise.

Ditto... I don't know why people are getting bent out of shape because of that... We only played 2 games

I'm not. It's about to be acquired by a billionaire who won't be living off the viability of the franchise like Shinn has had to do. Plus the new CBA should make it a whole lot easier for teams to make money.

Fans will be down for it but they will be the New Orleans Heat kind

Yup. First game did well. Second game was on Voodoo night/unofficial Halloween night.

New Orleans loves winning, scrappy teams. The stands will be packed starting in January if they keep this up.

Yeah, I can't wait for the day Chouest buys this franchise. I will sleep easier at night with it in his hands.

Well all those other teams didn't have Voodo fest now did they. Sheesh ESPN hates the hornets.

Did you even click the link? It's an attendance tracker, just a table full of data.

Philly and NJ had 12K fans last night, Atlanta and Houston both had 13K fans last night, its not just a Hornets problem

This is true. It always spikes after football season and I don't think this year will be much different

The fans in New Orleans are always dying for sports after football season. Second half of the season will be packed in the Arena.

This. The second half of 07-08 was crazy fun because of the crowd. Winning solves everything (well maybe not LSU)

Yeah it's everywhere. We saw this this season in Baseball. Rays were in 1st place and still couldn't bring in any fans.

Hopefully with the new CBA, salaries will go down resulting in lower ticket prices. Although, I'm having a hard time believing the players will agree to any pay cut.

Yes, but they failed to mention we had voodo fest, while others did not. It's a flawed system. I think we should jump one spot on the list.
