We are trying to find a horror film that we can watch with our almost 12 year old daughter. I do NOT remember this movie having so many questionable words. Is this right? LINK

Van Helsing might be an option. My daughter loves it. Not really horror but it does have vampires and werewolves. Anything that has to do with a murderer on the loose I stay away from with my daughter. I recently started watching the old series Buffy the Vampire Slayer on Netflix instant with my daughter and she loves it. It scares her but not in a bad way. She's younger than your daughter so I don't know if it would have the same effect.

Use this website as a reference. It tells you explicitly what kind of adult content is in the movie.

Maybe the OP knows the daughter has probably heard it before, but chooses not to subject her to it any more than is nessesary. Maybe the OP understands that watching a movie with a large amount of "ADULT language", signals to her that nothing is wrong with it. Maybe if more parents felt the same as the OP, younger people today would have more respect for others and themselves. Maybe???

to the OP

Hitchcock would be a great choice if you can get her into it. rear window is one of my all time favorites. I'd be curious as to how a 12 y/o today would react to some classic horror.
