I've been waiting over a year for Capt. Joe DiMarco with Pisces Charters to "get 'er done". Last time we spoke he said the spill had him messed up and he was working for BP but would get back to work on it soon.

Call him a couple times a week. Eventually he'll get tired of you calling and jump to it.

Some taxidermists take longer than other, but a year seems like it is too long.

I would just order a fake and tell him to keep your fish if you remember the measurements.

You still know you landed the fish so WTH.

Yeah, if he doesn't respond in the next week or so with the fish, I'd go this route (unless you paid a deposit). If you have a good picture of it, a good framed picture next to a replica mount will look damn good.

Big, but no giant (TWSS), about 42" long. But some really cool and unusual spots. I don't remember the girth.
