The way to beat Saban's Defense

Although I have no reason to believe LSU is capable of this technique, the best way to beat Saban's Defense is to throw vertical passes down the sideline. I think Lee would be able to execute this vertical passing game, but I don't think Les and Gary will let it happen. We will continue to throw wr screens and three yard routes, and Saban's D will eat us alive.

You mean the short side option, hand offs up the middle and 4 yard pass plays is not going to beat AL?

the game plan that Utah used vs Bama in the Sugar Bowl was perfect. Lots of short quick passes, and they couldn't stop it. I was there and it was 21-0 before Bama even scored....it was freaking awesome

Throw the slot and wide receiver slants toward the middle. When they pack the middle throw the slant outside to teh back shoulder.

Just do what S. Carolina did. Use Ridley the way Spurrier used Lattimore.
