Pre-ordered it months ago. I am really excited about it. Should be an extremely unique game.

I am very skeptical about fable 3. Fable 1 and 2 both were built up to be groundbreaking games and both failed to deliver. I was very disappointed with both those games.

They were still fun, charming games with some replay value. You have to take what Molyneux promises with a grain of salt, but everything I saw from E3 points to this one living up to expectations.

At any rate, you can expect an enjoyable experience no matter how it ends up.

I thought Fable 2 was way too similar to Fable. I doubt I will get Fable 3. Molyneux will fail to deliver on his promises again.

I'll post my thoughts on the game once I've played it for a while and let everyone know if it's a significant improvement.

One thing I am looking forward to is the revamped multiplayer... At E3 the representatives admitted that Fable 2's system was sort of a "beta" that fell short of expectations and that they put more focus on it this time around.

I find that Peter Molyneaux just talks without a filter and so everytime he talks about something he'd like to do in a game it comes across as something he's claiming is in the game. So I don't assume that he's "promising" any of this stuff. That being said, I very much enjoyed Fable 2 and I have to make a decision on Tuesday whether to buy Fable 3 or Fallout New Vegas. Guess I'll check out the reviews on Tuesday.

I watched the developer diaries leading up to Fable 2, and he didn't promise entire concepts that didn't show up in-game... he did, however, exaggerate the value of certain in-game concepts. Like the multiplayer and and the social interaction. I think he gets so excited about making these games that he's sort of a "homer" when describing what he loves about the product Lionhead is developing.

i traded in a whole bunch of games today and, in turn, pre-ordered fable 3 and bought fallout: new vegas for $7.54...

however, i still have to pay the $54.99 on Tuesday as I only put $5 down on Fable 3.

oh well...still a win and i'm looking forward to it.

I didn't even realize it was coming out this week until about 2 weeks ago. Not sure how I missed it, but maybe that's a good thing, so I didn't get sucked into this and that like Molyneaux is now known for.

It should be interesting. Multiplayer sounds like it will be a hell of a lot better and the "when you win you're only halfway done with the game" concept as well. I'm not sure how I feel about not having xp to level, but instead "number of followers." Guess it depends on how the game handles that.

And of course, the toughest question: Good or evil for first playthrough?

Always good on the first playthrough of any game like that. Evil on the second playthrough is what I always do. Only games that I had an evil character first was Mass Effect 1 & 2 which I had a hardass soldier.

I was a huge fan of the first Fable as I thought the storyline was just perfect. Fable 2 through me off at first being so different but I grew to like it almost as much

I enjoyed 2 until my 360 was stolen. I'll probably pick up 3 soon-ish.

Haven't stopped actually. It has easily the most badass start menu out of any game I've played. I mean the menu has John Cleese as a butler. I've definitely thorougly enjoyed it so far. It has a lot of aspects that Fable 2 had and has improved on basically all of them.
