I could see Auburn beating LSU with LSU only scoring 17 points, but I don't see Auburn getting out of the mid 20s.

It's possible if Jefferson plays most of the game.

The question is not if he will kill any scoring drives, but how many.

This will be a masterpiece game plan by our coaching staff.

People love to make predictions. Only problem is, most of these people haven't seen LSU play. They only hear stories about how lucky they are and look at the box score of the AU v ARKY game and assume that they will score 40 points on LSU.

Here is my prediction, having seen every down of every LSU game this year... LSU has perhaps the best defense in college football. Despite how terrible they look on offense, because they have such a great D, NO ONE IN COLLEGE FOOTBALL will or would blow out LSU this year! That includes Auburn. That said, the way the offense has played, it doesn't seem like LSU will blow anyone out either. This means a LOT of games decided by one possession. This game will be no different. In my opinion this game is won by no more than 5 or 6. And I could honestly see either side winning it.

LSU: 24
AU: 23

Do these people just not ever watch LSU? We are not going to lose by 3 TDs to anyone.

You sound like our fans who say this is the weekend LSU puts it together on offense. Look at Les Miles's career at LSU. Nothing is going to change.

We match our competition for better or worse every week. You may very well win, but it damn sure won't be by more than two TDs.

Likewise, we're even if we were in a position to blow you out. We wouldn't.

This is why it is so important to LSU to make the most out of every single offensive series.

They can't afford all the 3 and outs we've seen when Jefferson is in the game.

I'm not trying to put you down but do you recall 2008? UF and UG kicked our arse.

MalVeto and Jarrett Lee pick 6s. This is not the 08 team. Plus what did UGA beat us by 14?

Would you say that those games are exception or the rule?

Mandel, who is normally pretty accurate, is predicting AU by 13 points...

I have to say that I have predicted AU to win all week in a relatively close game. I also admit that I view anything LSU related with purple tinted glasses. The national pundits seeming consensus that we will be beaten and handily, is starting to worry me. Maybe they are seeing something that I am not allowing myself to see because of my love for LSU.

Since Miles has been at LSU, his teams have only lost a game by 21 or more ONCE. And that was in 2008 v Florida.

I'm not going to look through Auburn's scores throughout the last 5 years, but I do know that LSU beat them last year by 21.

Point is, I think LSU has a better chance of beating AU by 21 than they do of putting 38 on our D.

Better save the screen shots because those links will go down when LSU wins 24-20.
