In a Perfect World

In a perfect world, 10 years of finishing in the top 10 recruiting translates to finishing in the top 10 BCS. Because in a perfect world, not only does a premier program have the talent, but also the coaching staff that develops that talent and translates it schematically on the field into wins.
In a perfect world, you head coach of said program wears many different hats, from recruiter/motivator to shrink, teacher, disciplinarian-- not just the madhat.
Yet our world isn't perfect. However, I can think of one ending to this chapter that would be perfect-- somehow, some way, through a weird twist of fate, stars alligned, other teams self destructing, LSU lucks its way into the National Championship and comes away with a win. In a perfect world, Les Miles and Gary Crowton are fired the next day.
