Have four tickets to NLCS game 5 tomorrow night. Invited the wife's friend (in our wedding) and her husband to go to the game since they invited us for one of the NLDS games. Husband can't make it, but without telling us, the friend invited a girlfriend to go to the game who now apparentely has accepted said offer. We are now just told of this. Make the wife tell her friend tough sh**, as one of my best friends would give his left arm to go?

Tough situation. That was a bitch move of the chick friend to invite her other chick friend. I'd tell her that you need another male to go to the game so you can have someone to talk to.

I'd go with the friend and her friend. If you wanted to go with your boy you should have invited him first

Sounds like they were trying to return the favor and they pulled a trailer trash move. If not for that move his boy could have gone.

Tough situation, don't like to stoop down to other peoples level but that is hard. Especially since the woman was in their wedding party. You know, this is more of an OT topic

OP.....is the couple really close to you? If so you may have to bite the bullet and go with the flow. Just remember to make your invite more specific next time or don't offer them again.

One is the wife, the other is married with a kid, and the other one would simply ruin my reputation on here.

This is exactly what happned. The wife's friend is one of her friends since childhood - so yes they are close. This is why I was so surprised it happened.

wow.....well, you are screwed. Just go with the flow and get friendly with your male neighbors. Tell your wife, since it's her friend, she has to be the DD so you can enjoy yourself.

eta.....is their any chance your wife was in the know about this? Is your wife friendly/friends with the other woman?

The wife is not friends with the other woman; she knows not to give away the ticket without asking.

Wow... I could never fathom doing that. Sorry to hear....going with the flow is probably your best bet.
