and god only knows where our offense would rank without that anchor jordan dragging it to the bottom.

if we play jordan against auburn, we lose. if we dont, we win.

i was just thinking about this, and looking at the stats for opponents..

one thing to note - LSU's offense has played Florida, WVU, UNC, and MSU.. all pretty decent defenses..

Auburn offense has not faced a defense that is anywhere close to what they will see Saturday night..

I don't know who wins this game (if you made me pick, I'm going with the home team); nonetheless, I'm certainly happy to be on the defensive side of this matchup.

I'll take a great defense over a great offense everyday of the week.

well, idk if i would set in stone like that

but, yea, we'll definitely have a much better shot with lee in there for a vast majority of the time

Auburn is 108th in pass defense.. Lee should be on the field 95% of the game...

yea, and apparently the will be down 2 starters also

i'm going to be having nightmares of 2006 all week. we have the best passing attack in LSU history against a weak auburn pass D and we continuously slam our head directly into the wall trying to run the ball outside with slow RB's

please Les, dont do that to me again

Isn't Les 35-0 when he has a 100 yard rusher?

I know that if Les knows this stat, you can expect to see a lot of Ridley on Saturday - about 30 carries worth. I am not sure Les knows this...hopefully SOMEONE, even if it's Sam Nader just doodling around on his desk figuring it out, someone has to have told him this.

A 100 yard rusher against this AU defense isn't asking a ton. They're still weaker vs. the pass, but Ridley or even Shep, if he can break a long one, can vie for 100 by the 4th quarter. Play the odds, Les. Get your first downs through the air on first down. Get Ridley some new looks...new plays.

Meanwhile, when was the last 100 yrd rusher we have had in JH Stadium on the Plains? Faulk didn't get there in '96. Did he in '98? I wanna say nay and that Larry Foster was the big player of that game. No one in '00...not in '02...hardly in '04 and '06 and certainly not in '08.

Have we ever had a 100 yard rusher at Auburn?

I'm almost certain Charles Scott went for over a 100 in '08.

Charles Scott hit em for like 325 in 08 and the Heisman campaign took off.

A great defense seems to usually beat a great offense fwiw.

south carolina defense looks nothing like ours. dont know why people believe cam newton will run all over us. if we bottle him up, they have no one else...and you better believe the chief has more than a couple tricks up his sleeve for him
