Why doesn't LSU ever dip into all of that talent in Morgan City?

Because Morgan City has no talent.

Only real morgan city area D1 talent I remember over the last 5 to 8 years was Brian Henderson out of Berwick, Blair Irvin out of patterson, Jerald Watson out of Central Catholic, Kendrick Smith from Patterson, and now Kenny Hilliard from Patterson. I think Morgan City High was won like only 1 or 2 games a year for the last 8 years.

Just in case people were really wondering....I was being sarcastic and since I'm from MC....I can do that....I still think Charles Poole could've play for the Tigers and if James Grady wouldn't have been sent to prison....he could've too.

We like to focus on Baldwin and Patterson more.

Didn't he have a conditional offer from LSU, then ended up going to auburn or am I thinking of somebody else?

he had an offer from LSU, Saban wanted him to move to DB and he wanted to play running back. He went to Auburn was there for a year then transfered out to Southeastern in Hammond, then Nicholls where he played football and baseball.

the players I mention earlier, I think Blair Irvin is at Kansas State, he started at corner for them last year, he was playing baseball in the minors before then and with Henderson I know he was at Blinn JC then going to LSU but some off the field touble ended his football career. Kendrick Smith played I think at maybe louisville

Morgan City native here. MCHS has been the SUCK lately. Quite a shame when 1A CCHS (my alma mater) can beat them.

Cue the "CCHS and private schools pay players to go their their school" folks

It's amazing how shitty the talent is in MC compared to what it is west in Lafayette and even New Iberia. Catholic High-NI has produced three LSU players and 8-9 D1 players since 2003, and that's one school vs. that whole area.

boy was Watson fast. i've never seen wheels on a kid like he had, dude could flat out fly. kinda screwed himself over with the transferring. cool guy either way, i wish it would have worked out for him.

Don't forget Ivcry and Ike Hillard. Yes Brian went to prison for shooting up the Horseshoe. Watson was super fast but wasn't much for getting hit. Much better baseball project than football. Joey Brown was from MC though.

I know Brian personally and he didn't shoot up anything. Made some bad choices but didn't shoot up anything or anyone.

My family is from Mo City; I did some time there after Katrina at MCHS.

They had a guy from New Orleans (I wanna say Higgins) who was a pretty good LB but was a dumbass and got kicked off the team.

M.C. had a ton of baseball talent in the 80's and early 90's but bad coachs who would not help players get noticed and no internet.

What about Eric Andoslek from Thibodeaux High, he could have been a NFL Hall of Famer. Too bad he got hit by an eighteen wheeler while mowing his lawn.
