He'll need the playing time. This dual QB crap will impair his ability to achieve great things. He'll do good things but splitting snaps will inhibit great things.

JJ could redshirt next year though

Before PP, when was the last time we had a Heisman candidate? Dorsey? Before him?

No one from LSU is going to win the Heisman until we get a second coming of JaMarcus. With Miles' style, we can pretty much bet that no LSU RB will win it as long as he is here.

Not being a debbie downer or anything, but what do you consider a candidate. Patrick Peterson is having a great year and is a tremendous talent, but IMO doesn't have a shot at the heisman trophy.

What have you seen out of R.S. that make you think he will be a candidate next year? He's good, but really?

Good thing you aren't a voter. People with votes seem pretty high on him.

Ridley's getting as many carries as I've seen with an LSU RB in a long time.

shep wont win it because Miles is too stubborn to put him in to run the zone read...if he were to do that he might have a shot doing that and playing flanker...right now he doesnt get the ball in his hands enough...

I don't think any players will achieve the sort of stats needed to garner serious Heisman attention in the current offensive system we have...that being said, I wouldn't rule it out of the realm of possibilities, between Ridley, Shep, maybe Lee et al..we've got some dark horse contenders
