for the last two seasons these two competetive qbs have vastly been misunderstood in my opinion.....i see two extraordinary atheletes competing in the best college football conference in the nation for the qb position on one of the most talented teams in the nation. timing has been the biggest downfall these past two years...with RP departing a year early there was no way of knowing how long it would take a three year walkon in hatch and two true freshman qb straight out of high school to grasp the offense GC was trying to install...furthermore each qb had completely different skill sets. it was a huge setback...but now...finally ....are we biginning to witness for the first time in two years some continuity in this highly potenial offense with JL bihind center or...has he just had more luck than JJ?

Its a true statement that the dismissal of RP affected the QB position up until and including now. Its obviously an issue for at least through next season as well.

I don't know if I would go with "extraordinary," but I see them as two good athletes with different skill sets, and unfortunately, two different levels of confidence. Where Lee has garnered more, it seems to me that Jefferson's has diminished. It is possible for one person to effect an organization for many years after his or her departure. I see Perrilloux that way.

Never saw G Crowton's playbook. In fact, I have never seen a playbook past middle school.

What I think I am witnessing is a change in attitude with the team. For some intangible reason, I see the team perk up when Lee enters the game, and I see a diminished enthusiasm when Jefferson enters. In some ways it's situational. If Jefferson's in with third and 19, the team doesn't look like they are into the game. The reverse seems to be true with Lee. I think I would spell Jeferson more and give him situations for success. He needs to have his confidence slowly but surely re-affirmed. Right now he seems tentative and unsure. With each play I feel like he is trying to redeem himself. If there is an option play, most likely he keeps it trying desperately to make something happen and save the day. This constant pressing is forcing errors and making his situation worse.

As a disclaimer with all emails, please note that these aforementioned views do not express the feelings of the management, the coaching staff, the LSU board of supervisors, or Sun-Tsu from a previous thread. They are to be interpreted as the random rantings of a manical LSU fan.

losing RP definately screwed us in '08. i really don't blame our '09 season totally on that because we had the worst OL i've seen at LSU in a long time and JJ played pretty well. this year our qb's are juniors, who's RP? right now, unless we red shirt JJ next yr, we ain't got a qb for 2012, period. any qb recruit this yr will be a RS fresman at that time. we need to sign the JUCO kid.
