Yeah, well Fowler is one of, if not the biggest, douche at ESPN right now.
re: Chris Fowler on radio callPosted by St Augustine on 10/10/10 at 12:16 am to tntigger
do you know its actually the hawthorne call...it could have been the gators or a national call?

bullshite.........I rode on plane with Fowler to gainesville in 06. Dude spoke to everyone unlike Herbie, involved cfb fans, and constantly updated us with stats from his "ESPN stat crew"

Fowler is a Bama grad
re: Chris Fowler on radio callPosted by St Augustine on 10/10/10 at 12:18 am to L S Usetheforce
he seems like an ok dude to me, he's always pretty interactive with fans at gameday

If he was in Atlanta I would assume it was the ESPN feed. Don't know though.

More than likely, he was picking up WWL 870 if he was driving in the car. There's not a national or Florida broadcast you can pick up anywhere near Atlanta.

I didn't hear it tonight, but Hawthornes game winning calls are usually pretty damn good.

No doubt........He is only guy on that crew that never acted special........I was on the plane with Danielson, Lundquist, Herbie and Fowler......Fowler is only one who seemed normal.

Beat me to it. Both are pretty impartial though but some fans just won't give them a chance. Guess it's part of the biz.

I heard his call on the highlights after the game, and his call was enthusiastic as usual, but he didn't give you any details. All he said was something like, "Lee back to throw, he throws it, TOUCHDOWNNNNNNN!" No details about what type of throw, who to, etc.

dude I'm fairly certain he had satellite radio
I'm pretty sure Chris Fowler isn't driving around trying to find static filled football broadcast on AM radio...remember he was coming down from SC
re: Chris Fowler on radio callPosted by tntigger on 10/10/10 at 12:26 am to St Augustine
He didn't specify. I assume wwl. He wouldn't blast ESPN. Could be uf though.

Hawthorne was certainly missing up as usual but Moreau was essentially declaring the game over after the fake field goal and before the review because we didn't have timeouts.
