He could have blustered anything but instead he kept it simple
"maybe they will like us better now"

You can hate the man's coaching or call him a doofus but he sure took the high road when he could have rubbed their noses in it.

he may have been talking about the fans too, there was some serious anger expressed. Don't get me wrong it was deserved, but the fans expressed some serious displeasure also.

Regardless of whom it was directed at, he took the high road.
Before the clueless rantards chime in with , he still sucks as a coach, this is not about coaching but instead about how he responded to jibes and insults from media/fanbase/opposing fans and pretty much the entire country.
If he makes the key changes and manages this program well , we cannot do much better or expect much more at this point for LSU.
