when JJ had the ankle injury last year, Miles said something to the effect that JJ was not a person who tolerated pain very well. Intepretation - he tends to melt down, wimp out, whatever. Not necessarily a good character trait for a QB in the SEC.

Character was maybe the wrong word. "Natural tendency", "disposition" might be better. But I'm not the one who judged the kid -- just recalling what his head coach said about him.

He's attacking his ethical character but pointing out one of his weaknesses as a quarterback.

There's nothing wrong with me repeating what his coach said publicly. Honestly, I've never heard a coach really speak of a player in that regard; probably why it has stuck with me. Regardless, the point is, and we've seen this in various forms, but the kid may lack the mental toughness for the position he's in. Nothing wrong with that as a human being; plenty wrong with it if you're a QB in the SEC. I'm done

hootie quit ripping JJ. Most of us know is not of SEC caliber, but don't rip his character.
