What would be the sentiment of the fan base then? Do you think Miles job rests on beating Florida?

No, his job is safe.

Unfortunately, there is a large percentage of the fan base who will pull for us to lose just to justify their complaints of our coach.

If we beat Fla, the people who hate miles will still hate him, and the people that defend him will still defend him.

It rests on the lucky rabbit's foot he's been keeping in his back pocket.

But in all honesty, no, it rests with how we fare in league play in general.

Chances are if that were to happen, Jarrett Lee had a pretty good game and defense played their arse off. And for sure we won the turnover game.

No.

It's over for Miles. I think the only way he saves his job is if he hangs 50 on Alabama and at the end of the game while picking his nose he states to the on the field reporter that Saban is a fig.

As sad as it is to say, but in theroy LM job would be safe if he went 1-11 every year as long as the 1 is against Bama, and Saban is still there. Now being serious, he would be fired if that was the case. However, we expect him to beat Saban..he has to or we feel like we got slapped in the face again.

UF=> No
Bama=> Yes

If Miles beats UF, then I say we give him a 10 year extension.

you don't actually believe this, do you?

If we go 11-1 and our 1 loss is to Alabama, Miles stays.

No true LSU fan would ever pull for us to lose. Having said that, I see no way we beat Florida. Yes, they are beatable, but we will have to play an outstanding game with no turnovers and the defense will have to really have to dominate. If this game were in Tiger Stadium, I would feel better. Gators are going to be mad as hell Saturday.

There's no reason we shouldn't beat Florida. They're not that good. Talent-wise, they're certainly not better than we are.
There's only one reason I can think of as to why we would lose that game.

Miles got his team ready to play the game of their lives and Urban Meyer sucks at coaching anyone other than Tim Tebow.

People aren't "pulling for LSU to lose."

Go sit in the stadium, or go watch a game anywhere with a significant number of people, and you'll realize how silly this notion is.

Griping and bitching on a message board is not "pulling against your team."
