I would argue Les is exactly the opposite of that character. He is completely calm (because he is clueless) in all situations.

It just came to me. I know who he is. He is Chance the Gardner (Chauncey Gardner) from Being There. He could also be Mr Martini from Cuckoos Nest (Danny Devito).
