Congrats on the kill. That may be the first confirmed animal kill on the outdoor board

I've never seen a black one before. That's pretty cool.

There was another black one that came running in when it heard me shoot this one, and I could have smoked it as well.
I guess they are somewhat common in the area (Greensburg) because another black one was killed right down the road by neighboring property owner...and No, it wasn't the same one that I let escape earlier this morning.

You can't eat'em, but they are a blast to kill.

Congrats on killing a glorified dog that wasn't hassling your livestock while actually hunting for an entirely different species.

It wasn't a full grown coyote, so I imagine it would have been over 40lb's when older.

I love killing coyotes, when I'm hunting coyotes. But when I go hunting for deer I come home with a deer or nothing... not a bagful of animals that aren't deer. If you're looking for squirrels, then kill squirrels. Only children go hunting for one species and come home with everything else.

"Hey y'all, there wasn't any deer so I killed all these crows and 'coons!"

Coyotes are targets of opportunity. You dont see them within bow range often and they will harrass your deer population, and kill anything they can get their grubby little paws on.

ABSOLUTELY.
So get a distressed rabbit call and kill them by the hundreds. But going hunting for one species and coming home with another isn't sportsmanship, it just proves you have the desire to shoot anything you are allowed to.
