High carb day yesterday. It was glorious.
Here's a little quote from someone I follow that's gone through a pretty large transformation:
quote:

the key to seeing results is being patient and realizing 3lbs a week is not realistic and not maintainable. During a diet, It's so easy to notice the negative and the 3lb scale difference. When the scale is lower were content when it is higher were upset leading to us being upset a lot and never satisfied which leads to people giving up. Your weightloss should be a zig zag line going down!!! Focus on the positive!!!! Ignore the negative and realize the scale will go up at times!!! If it never goes up your dieting too hard and it will be close to impossible to maintain. be patient and you will succeed

not a bad quote. i generally weigh myself every morning and pay most attention to the lowest number over the week. I also realize that different foods, while healthy, can cause fluctuation of my weight.

Probably the biggest thing that person did not say is that: Weight isn't the biggest factor. I'm currently 179.8. I could work out, put on muscle and be extremely healthy with a very low body fat % at 179. Or, I can roll through a ton of cardio, drop down to 165 and be extremely healthy with a very low body fat %.

People get too caught up on weight and think that weight equals health. Weight is but an indicator.

Last week of Insanity!, so we'll take a couple of weeks off and do just some cardio, then we'll move into T25. I'm definitely still losing inches, but obviously not much weight, which is still OK with me. I hope to get into the 180's by the end of April, just to make myself feel better. I'm hoping the cardio will help with that the most.

Next Friday will be 30 days for me. It really wasn't bad. I'm planning on doing 8-12 weeks soon. I'm becoming more serious about my body rather than my beer game now I think.

The changes that occur due to not drinking are much better than the ones that occur due to drinking haha

You got you a little gym membership?
I'm switching to Anytime this week. I like working out alone, but I'll make an exception.

Today is the last day of this Advocare 24 day challenge. Although I followed the supplement regimen, I did my own style of eating. 24 days ago I was 176ish. I'm down 6 lbs in weight but for sure down in inches and put on some musclemass.
This kind of thing is hard for me to judge, since, other than the 10 day cleanse at the beginning, all the other supplements that come with the challenge were all very similar to stuff I was already taking.
I would highly recommend it as a jump starter for someone. Or maybe for someone to even use it as a change of pace. Honestly good stuff they give you.
I'm not ending my "cut" here however. I'm going until at least April 10. Trying to drop as much BF as possible while maintaining LBM.
For those interested, I've stopped alcohol intake, been doing Intermittent fasting, and carb cycling. Along with a full body workout MWF only really performing a few compound workouts. Very little cardio.
www.leangains.com or www.rippedbody.jp are 2 sites I highly recommend reading thoroughly.
Let's see where the next week and half goes from here.

The GF did it but she didn't work out and lost 2 pounds and I have no idea the inches. She had a month worth of replacement and had 2 weeks worth of stuff as the guy never gave me the full 24 day challenge kit.

Looking through it though, there was nothing in it I don't already take. Maybe the spark but I have my own protein for shakes and I already take an omega 3/amino acids.

Nice surprise to see the scale didn't actually go up today like I was suspecting. Holding off on getting my hopes up until it holds for 3 days in a row

Shaping up to be a good week. 193 is my low, and it's only Wednesday, so here's hoping another 1 will drop off the scale. I'm keeping my diet clean, and sticking to meat and veggies for dinner in an effort to get into the 180's.

To date, I haven't taken any supplements or following the diet portion of Insanity, but I'm definitely pleased with the results.

I need to make April a dry month (except a wedding in N.O. Easter Weekend), but come Friday, the vodka/Diet 7-Up with a fat twist of lime is just too tempting. The guy I work out with switched from Bud Light to Mich Ultra, but it's just not all that great tasting...

My buddy did this. Honestly, with the amount he drinks, it's not a huge difference.
Stick with liquor. It's healthier for you
Oh and great news about the progress! Keep it going
