4th year anniversary of the diet.

Still down over 100 but there was bit of a hiccup from T-Giving all the way to Jan 17 when we started the office weight loss comp.

Down 21 since then but still getting my arse kicked in the competition. Under 4 weeks to go and I might not even come in 2nd. Several new contestants are making a strong run at the comp this year.

Up a couple after a big dinner last night, but I believe it's just water weight. Should be back to normal tomorrow.

Trying something different. I wasn't losing weight at 2k cals, so I dropped it to 1800. Still wasn't losing weight. Dropped it to 1500 but still working out 5 times a week. Felt awful. No energy, bonking in the gym, hungry 24/7. So I decided to try the one thing I haven't because I've been afraid to.. I upped my caloric intake. 2400, 260g protein a day (1g per lb of body weight) and I also have upped my exercise to include some cardio every morning, whether I walk for an hour or go for a run with C25K. So far, looks good. I hope this finally busts through my year-long plateau.

I've been doing a ton of reading lately on cutting and the source behind doing it properly. Actually eating 10% more than maintenance is suggested on training days and 30% or so below on rest days. That is of course with the proper micronutrient balance

Ate more cals yesterday than usual. But kept it all extremely clean. Not so much concerned about weight as I am about keeping/building lean mass while burning fat.
15 days to go

If you're cutting, or trying to lose weight, you want more g/lb of protein that that.
ETA: Anywhere from 1.15-1.35

1g/lb is normal for cutting. I'm doing 1g/lb and it's working. I too used the IIFYM calculator. It's tough as shite to get that much protein at my weight, 260g/day.. Wake up, full cup of cottage cheese with blueberries, granola, and 1 scoop of protein added. 3 hours later, 2 scoops of protein, 1 cup full fat milk, 3 hours later, 1.5 cans of tuna with some mayo, 3 hours later, serving of almonds with 2 scoops of protein, 3 hours later 12oz chicken breast, then post-workout another protein shake.. I'm stuffed all day.
