Labor Day weekend trip to Vegas...

If you want to really see results in those ten days consider a protein sparing modified fast. Do a search on this and include "Lyle Mcdonald" in your search. You basically eat the minimum amount of protein to preserve muscle tissue from lean sources and vegetables. Depending on your body weight you will probably only consume around 800 calories a day.

Did some research yesterday and saw a ton of mention on that. Found a copy of his article in pdf form online but didn't get to read it last night. I think I'll do it tonight and possible start this tomorrow.
Thanks for the advice

You might want to take an ephedrine/caffeine stack 3 times a day to help curb appetite.

So, my goal for last week was to break in to the 260's. I admitted that it would be tough to accomplish. I hit the gym for some cardio last week in hopes that adding it to my diet would help give me the bump I needed. Boy was I wrong. My diet stayed the same and I put in 45 minutes of walking at 4.0 mph 4 days last week. Weighed in yesterday and the scale had not moved even a tenth of a pound.
3.5 months of only dieting and no exercise = 40 pounds lost and then the week I add exercise nothing happens. Oh well, I'll strike that one up to the plateau being hit for now and I just have to power through it. It's a new week, and hopefully by this time next week I'll be a couple of pounds closer to the goal.

Don't stop. Plateau's happen to everyone. Keep it going.
And Mouton I'll for sure give this a try I think. Maybe modify it. Idk. But I will need something to curb the appetite.

Well it doesn't help that your legs are gaining muscle with all the walking, bet your legs look sexier now than before
Although I've been there and until I added weight training and more cardio I stayed same weight for a month or gained weight during that time, but I LOOKED similar because I continued with it and was losing inches while not weight.

Whoop whoop. 14.4 pounds in 15 days. Parents have jumped into the betting pool. $200 to hit my goal of 300 pounds by October 1st. Easy money. Didn't know it'd be this easy but I got a lot to lose so its just falling off.

Great job!!! Dont get discouraged if your weight loss slows a bit though. Slow and steady is the name of the game!!

Thanks. I won't be discouraged if it starts to slow. I imagine it may slow down a smidge when I eventually get down 250 or 225.

It also slows as your body adjusts along the way. Although my body seems to plateau/readjust every three pounds.

First day of Fall semester. Like to think I'd reach my first goal of 275 by the end of it.

Started PSMF yesterday and still doing IF at the same time. Not bad. Worked out perfectly since I basically worked 15 hours yesterday and didn't have much time to eat anyway. I didn't get as much protein in as I wanted but stayed within my calorie limit. The only change to IF I made is that I did half a scoop of protein before my workout and another half right after today. Let's see how well this works.
Thanks for the suggestion Mouton
ETA: For those curious it's a super clean high protein "crash diet". However, I've been basically doing this for weeks with just more calories and a few other macros. Caloric intake cut down to about 800 grams and protein actually upped to about 200 or so grams.
For those interested. Handbook

Just getting back from 2.5 weeks of vacation through San Francisco, Napa, and New Orleans. I left at 178, so the damage isn't as bad as I expected. I did manage to get a run in every few days, so that might've helped a bit. Now it's time to get back to it before football season, which is usually a rough time of the year for me from a weightloss and diet perspective.

How was the vacation?? San Fran is on the top of my list of places to visit.
Were you somewhat conscience of your eating while on vacation? I've found that if your body is in weight loss mode and used to following a pretty decent diet, a 2 week "refeed" is a good thing. Not much will be gained and it is easy to get back in the swing of things.
