When I first lost my weight I was losing 15-20 pounds a month for the first 3 months then it started coming off slower

I'm hoping it's this bc I have a lot to lose. Thing is I feel pretty content hunger wise. I had to change my mentality when eating. I used to eat till I was full, now I reduce portion control and only eat enough to make me feel content. Don't get me wrong by the end of the day I'm a bit hungry, not starving though. Which is what I want so I end the day at a caloric deficit.

It sounds counterintuitive , but you don't want to cut your calories to drastically.

If I ever felt that was before bed I would eat a protein bar or make me a protein shake with almond milk unsweetened and maybe a scoop of plain Greek yogurt. Would run me about 250-350 calories

160 calories for scoop of protein mix
80 calories for 8oz of almond milk
Yogurt 80-120 calories

If you like cottage cheese try it mixed with a scoop of protein powder. Im hooked on chocolate peanut butter muscle milk and cottage cheese. I add a good bit of water and eat it like cereal for dessert every night.

I just looked at another cal calc and it suggested 2560 cal/day to reach my first goal of 275 by the end of the year. Strange getting 2 different readings that are 1000 cals apart.

I'm trying to stay away from any supplements, idk if y'all would count protein powder in that category. We have a family history of heart disease was a wake up call for me to kinda just do it "naturally" through nutrients I can get through exercise, lofting weights, foods and fluids (nothing outside of water, milk, powerade/Gatorade, maybe a soda on a cheat day though). Of course I know to see a doctor before taking any supplements if i decided i need to but I guess I rather error on the side of caution than to jack up my heart

Granted I'm new to this weight loss thing so I'm taking it slow.

Tangent: if y'all know any good tasting smoothies/shake that don't require any supplements I'd be anxious to try those for a meal replacement or before I go to bed.

Protein powder is completely safe. It is food.

I only use protein powder when I haven't hit my protein macro for the day and I am not all that hungry. Sometimes I use it as a meal replacement with peanut butter and banana

Weigh in when I woke up was 172 about 2 hours ago. Since then I've made 2 bm's and ran a little over 2.5 miles.
Getting hungry. Close to eating time.

Legion, protein powder is completely safe. I'd use it to get to your protein or caloric goal. Or to mix with yogurt, cottage cheese, oatmeal, sweet potato pancakes, and just about anything else.

ETA: I recommend Muscle Pharm's Combat Powder. Great taste, mixes well, and great nutritional values.
