When the most of nutritional scientific studies are funded by Kellogg's and the like, is it any wonder people like Taubes question its validity?

That's fine. It's obviously an evolving science. You still have to follow the basic rules of science though. This guy actually has people believing that its impossible to gain weight if carbs or kept low enough.

254/225/185. 2 more lbs down despite an "off" weekend. Two 12 mile hikes really helped.

Had a 10 oz sirloin last night with sweet tater fries and steamed broccoli.. then hit the gym an hour later and hit a new squat PR - 205x8. Felt good man.

A new PR yesterday for the hump day 2 miler of 14:52. Beat my old one from last year by 18 seconds. In other news, Saturday I'm finding out if we are having a boy or girl. I'm getting pumped for the weekend.

185/175.8/170? (7-9% body fat)

First time posting in here. Started seriously on June 1. Before I never really fully committed to an actual "healthier lifestyle".
Despite the name of the thread, I've been putting the fork to my mouth more. Just paying more attention to what's on that fork. The only "diet" I'm following is eating 5-6 meals a day. High protein. Minimal fat. Also cut out drinking during weekdays (which is tough considering I love craft beer). Weekends I sort of follow. Don't cheat like crazy but allow some slack. So my results could be better.
Lifting weights 4 times a week with minimal rest between reps. Running 4-5 times a week.
The ~10 lbs lost so far is all fat. No muscle or strength loss. I wasn't a fat guy to begin with. Always in ok shape. Just was looking to drop body fat to a 7-9% range.
Anyway. That's it

Keeping my 10 pounds off, eating much cleaner and leaving for vacation Saturday. I am planning our food options to include lots of salad for me. I am sure I won't lose so I am just trying not to gain any back.
