Defensive rankings for total D and pass D for the teams we have played so far and the next few opponents:

Team Total D Pass D

UNC 50 4
Vandy 83 35
MSU 34 42
WVU 7 24

Tenn 69 72
Fla 26 61
McN 96 90 (FCS)

Clearly the next 3 opponents have worse pass defenses than the previous 4 opponents. I’m not saying that will translate into better performance, but one can hope.

WVU did have 8 sacks against MAryland. they weren't hobo out there, but it was still an pretty ugly game.

The pass D rankings were obviously improved after they played us.

Don't worry, they will drop after they play us.

Yep. The 4 toughest teams LSU has yet to face this season are all better on offense than on defense in my opinion. UF is tough for me to get a handle on, but I definitely feel that way about Alabama, Auburn, & Arkansas.

Isn't UF leading the nation in INT's?

What did those pass defenses give up in the games they played against teams not named LSU?

You can thank Oregon for that.

No way I thought their defense was that good. Maybe the sky isn't falling.

True, and who is that DE that WVU fans were pimping all week? Bruce somebody I think.

Did he even play?

Yeah, but we were a part of the reason why those defenses have good pass d totals.

If something doens't shake, and fast, expect the next three opponents to jump in pass d totals as well.

I think LSU has more to do with those good pass defensive ranking then anything else.

I got one for you:

What do all those teams have in common?

I wonder how much of that is a function of the fact that the 1st 4 teams have played LSU and the last 3 have not????
